NVIDIA RTX 30 SUPER will have desktop and mobile versions early next year

With the release of GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti, the first phase of NVIDIA Ampere architecture has basically been laid out. The mainstream RTX 3050 Ti and RTX 3050 have already appeared on the notebook platform. The desktop version is expected to be launched soon. Next, next year’s Ampere Refresh, which is the RTX 30 SUPER series of products.

In fact, there was news before that NVIDIA was preparing to launch RTX 30 SUPER notebook graphics cards early next year, but Twitter user @Kopite7kimi pointed out, at the beginning of next year, NVIDIA will not only be the notebook graphics card, but the desktop version is also in preparation. Its previous revelations are very accurate and have a certain degree of credibility.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 SUPER series will be part of the second phase of the Ampere architecture, and it is reported that they will be put into production this quarter. Like the original Ampere GPUs, they will continue to be produced using Samsung’s 8nm process instead of the TSMC 7nm that everyone expected. The hardware design may be optimized, may be equipped with a larger capacity video memory, or may have a larger video memory bit width.

If nothing happens, NVIDIA should launch GeForce RTX 3080 SUPER, RTX 3070 SUPER, RTX 3060 SUPER. As for whether there is an RTX 3050 SUPER, the RTX 3050 series has not been released yet, so I can’t say anything. I’m very curious how NVIDIA can cut GA102 to get it in RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 Ti or RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3080 and then get an RTX 3080 SUPER.
