NVIDIA is about to launch RTX A2000 desktop workstation graphics card
Nvidia has previously released a number of professional graphics cards based on the Ampere architecture, including RTX A6000, RTX A5000, and RTX A4000. RTX A6000/A5000 uses GA102 core, while RTX A4000 uses GA104 core. According to the previous layout of Nvidia’s professional graphics card product line on the desktop platform, there will obviously be products based on the Ampere architecture.
According to VideoCardz reports, Nvidia is about to launch RTX A2000 professional graphics cards on the desktop platform, which seems to be positioned as an entry-level product. The leaked photos show that this RTX A2000 professional graphics card is a half-height card with dual-slot thickness, turbo cooling design, and four Mini DisplayPorts 1.4 ports. It is understood that this graphics card should also be equipped with a backplane and a 6Pin external power interface. AMD Radeon Pro WX series of professional graphics cards also have a number of similarly designed products, but they are all based on the Polaris architecture. Compared with Nvidia’s upcoming RTX A2000, the performance will be much worse. In fact, in April this year, Nvidia has launched the RTX A2000 mobile professional graphics card on the mobile platform, using the GA107 core. It is expected that the RTX A2000 of the desktop platform will use the GA106 core and will have more video memory. At present, the video memory of the RTX A2000 mobile professional graphics card is 4GB GDDR6, and the desktop platform is likely to be 12GB GDDR6.
