Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090’s share on Steam surpasses all RDNA 2 architecture products
Compared with Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, AMD Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards have a much smaller supply. Although AMD’s new-generation graphics card product line is well laid out and has good competitiveness in terms of performance and price, it is limited by AMD’s production capacity allocation, and consumers have a lower chance of buying.
According to the Steam hardware survey in July, only Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card has surpassed the sum of all the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series models. In the Steam hardware survey data, any GPU needs to exceed 0.15% to be displayed separately. However, if you select the Directx 10/11/12 page, the RDNA 2 architecture graphics card will also be displayed on it. At present, the highest share is still GeForce GTX 1060, followed by GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and GTX 1650, both of which are NVIDIA products.
Valve has never clearly announced how to collect statistics needed for Steam hardware surveys. Of course, the graphics cards here do not include those that fall into the hands of miners, nor can they fully reflect market sales. But no matter how you look at it, Nvidia still occupies the vast majority of the graphics card market, and it does a better job in supply, even if the price is not cheap.
