Nvidia is about to launch the
GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, and consumers will soon see the new flagship on the shelves. Since its appearance at the CES 2022 show at the beginning of the year, Nvidia has delayed many times, and it has been more than two months behind the original plan. The base specs of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti are no longer in doubt, but pricing remains a mystery.

According to VideoCardz, the suggested retail price of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition is $1,999, and other manufacturers’ non-public versions may be more expensive, also $500 more than the previous GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition. It is understood that most products of graphics card manufacturers use air-cooled cooling solutions with more than three slots. Only with water-cooled cooling solutions will there be dual-slot models. Some manufacturers even use 360 radiators.
This time the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti uses the GA102-350, with a full 10752 stream processors, the base clock is 1560 MHz, the boost clock is 1860 MHz, equipped with 24GB of GDDR6X video memory, 384-bit video memory width, single-precision floating-point performance of 40T FLOPS, TDP will also be increased to 450W. It uses a new 2GB module with a memory speed of 21 Gbps, which is currently the fastest GDDR6X, provided by Micron.
GeForce RTX 3090 Ti uses the latest 12VHPWR interface for the first time, which is the new 12+4Pin PCIe 5.0 power supply interface. The graphics card manufacturer will provide 12VHPWR to three 8Pin adapter cables, which also meets the needs of users at this stage. As Intel has recently released the ATX 3.0 specification, the new power supplies sold by manufacturers in the future will be equipped with a 12VHPWR interface, and users will no longer need to use an adapter cable.
It is rumored that Nvidia recommends a minimum power supply of 850W. Generally speaking, a 1000W model should be used. For many users, it may be necessary to replace the power supply.
