The installation requirements of Windows 11 are still quite high. Microsoft’s official website
indicates that it requires 4GB of memory and a storage device of more than 64GB, as well as TPM 2.0 and UEFI secure boot support. But if you want to install it on a device with insufficient conditions anyway, there is no way. According to
Neowin, developer NTDEV has
launched Tiny11, a very, very small version of Windows 11.
Tiny11 is modified based on Windows 11 Professional Edition 22H2. It only takes up 8GB of storage space. In contrast, the original version of
Windows 11 takes up more than 20GB. Only 2GB of memory is required. In addition, NTDEV also removes the mandatory requirements for TPM 2.0 and UEFI secure boot and uses the offline account as the default user account. Of course, if the user wants to log in with a Microsoft account, it is also possible.
According to NTDEV’s description, Tiny11 only provides basic Windows components, including accessibility, terminal, Microsoft Store, calculator, notebook, etc., it does not even include the Edge browser!
This system is a good choice for low-profile devices such as netbooks and cheap Windows tablets. In addition, if you just want a simpler system, then Tiny11 is also very suitable. However, it needs to be emphasized that, after all, this system has been modified by a third party and a large number of components have been deleted. It may not be able to provide a complete experience like Microsoft’s official version.
