MSI launches SPATIUM M570 PRO with a read speed of 12GB/s

MSI announced that the launch of the SPATIUM M570 PRO and SPATIUM M570, both PCIe 5.0 SSDs with M.2 2280 specifications, will be the first batch of similar products. Both use Phison Electronics’ E26 controller, but the PRO version uses Micron’s 232-layer NAND chip, while the regular version uses a TLC NAND chip, and the data transmission speed will be slower.

According to TomsHardware, SPATIUM M570 PRO and SPATIUM M570 support NVMe 2.0 specifications. The former has a maximum sequential read speed of 12000 MB/s and a maximum sequential write speed of 10000 MB/s, the latter has a maximum sequential read speed of 10,000 MB/s and a maximum sequential write speed of 10,000 MB/s, and will provide products with capacities of 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB.
The part of radiators have MSI’s dragon logo on them, but they will be different in appearance. The SPATIUM M570 is just a conventional aluminum radiator, which is bronze in color, and the SPATIUM M570 PRO will use a vapor chamber with a red protective cover.

MSI also conducted a performance demonstration of the SPATIUM M570 PRO at CES. The 2TB version is used. The test platform is composed of AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processor and an X670E Carbon motherboard. In Crystal Disk Mark, the reading speed and writing speed reached 12324 MB/s and 11814 MB/s respectively.

MSI also used the latest Raider GE78 HX laptop equipped with Intel’s 13th-generation Core HX processor for demonstration. The read speed is basically the same at 12301 MB/s, but the write speed will be lower at 8972 MB/s.
MSI said that the SPATIUM M570 PRO and SPATIUM M570 are planned to be released in the second quarter of 2023, but MSI has not yet provided pricing information for the products.
