MSI launches GeForce RTX 3080 Sea Hawk X 10G LHR

At the beginning of this year, MSI released the Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards with a water cooling solution, called the Sea Hawk X series. The Sea Hawk X series is designed by MSI and Asetek, and Asetek is a very famous water cooling brand. With the release of GeForce RTX 30 LHR series GPUs by Nvidia, major board manufacturers have gradually updated their product lines and launched products equipped with new GPUs.

Recently, MSI launched the GeForce RTX 3080 Sea Hawk X 10G LHR graphics card, which has 8704 CUDA cores, the acceleration frequency can reach 1785 MHz, and it is equipped with 10GB of GDDR6X video memory at a rate of 19 Gbps. This graphics card uses a customized PCB, equipped with two 8Pin external power ports, TDP is 320W. In terms of display output, there are three DisplayPort 1.4a interfaces and one HDMI 2.1 interface.

The biggest selling point of this series of graphics cards is the hybrid cooling solution jointly developed by MSI and Asetek. The custom copper plate covers the entire GPU and memory module area, and the back is also equipped with a metal backplate. In addition, a separate fan is responsible for the heat dissipation of the VRM. The combination of water cooling and air cooling is more helpful to achieve high frequencies. The Sea Hawk X series is equipped with an Asetek water pump, which is connected to a 240mm cold row equipped with a Torx 4.0 120mm cooling fan through a high-quality braided tube. MSI hopes that such a design will not only have high performance but also have relatively low noise during operation.

The overall size of the GeForce RTX 3080 Sea Hawk X 10G LHR graphics card is 271.4 × 125.8 × 44.3 mm, which is slightly shorter than the GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition. At present, this new graphics card of MSI has been put on the shelves in the Japanese market, but there is no price yet. It is expected that the market in other regions of the world will follow up soon.
