MSI launched the M480 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 HS

MSI announced the update of its SSD series product line and launched a new flagship product, SPATIUM M480 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 HS. MSI aims to expand the field of high-performance storage products, further improve product line configuration, and build a better ecosystem. MSI stated that the powerful performance of the M480 HS can bring a higher level of storage performance to content creators and gamers to meet their high-load work needs.
MSI M480 HS uses high-quality and high-density 3D flash memory particles, equipped with DRAM cache and SLC cache technology, supports the latest PCIe Gen4 and NVMe 1.4 standards, and its 2TB model can provide a maximum sequential read speed of 7000 MB/s and a sequential read and write speed of 6800 MB/s. In order to meet the heat dissipation problem caused by high performance, MSI equipped this flagship SSD product with a metal heat sink to assist in heat dissipation. When running under high load, it can effectively reduce the temperature by 20 degrees Celsius, allowing the SSD to continue to have high performance.

MSI M480 HS supports a wide range of data verification functions, including LPDC ECC and E2E technology, with good durability and service life. MSI provides three storage capacities of 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB for the M480 HS, with 5 annual repair reports and a high-rated TBW of up to 1400TBW (2TB model).

In addition to the M480 HS, MSI also launched the M470 and M370, both of which are M.2 2280 specifications.

Different from M480’s high-end positioning, M470 is positioned in the mainstream consumer market, supports the PCIe Gen4 standard, and can reach a sequential read speed of 5000 MB/s and a sequential write speed of 4400 MB/s, and provide two storage capacities of 1TB and 2TB. M370 is a product that supports the PCIe Gen3 standard, providing a sequential read speed of 2400 MB/s and a sequential write speed of 1850 MB/s, and four storage capacities of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB.
