MSI Introduces G253PF Gaming Monitor: 24.5-inch Rapid IPS panel with 380Hz refresh rate

MSI has announced the launch of its G253PF gaming monitor. Tailored for fast-paced gaming, the new offering boasts expansive viewing angles and delivers crisp visuals. Optimized to further enhance display quality, it ensures an exceptional visual gaming experience.

The G253PF gaming monitor features a narrow bezel design and is equipped with a 24.5-inch Rapid IPS panel, supporting 1.07 billion colors. With a resolution of 1920 x 1080, it offers a refresh rate of up to 380Hz and a 1ms (GTG) response time. The monitor boasts a 1000:1 contrast ratio and a maximum brightness of 300 nits.

The new display incorporates anti-flicker and blue light filtering technology. It has earned TÜV Rheinland and DisplayHDR 400 certifications and supports VESA Adaptive Sync and G-SYNC Compatibility, effectively preventing screen tearing and granting players a competitive edge in gaming.

The G253PF gaming monitor is furnished with a DisplayPort 1.4 interface and two HDMI 2.0b ports. However, when connected via HDMI 2.0b, the maximum refresh rate is limited to 240Hz. To enjoy a 380Hz refresh rate, players must use the DisplayPort 1.4 connection and adjust the settings in the monitor’s OSD to “overclock” the panel to 380Hz.

When viewed from the side, the G253PF monitor appears thicker than comparable products. This is due to the passive cooling module provided by MSI, resulting in increased thickness. For most gamers, the current preference when purchasing gaming monitors leans towards 2K resolution products. However, FHD resolution combined with ultra-high refresh rates caters more closely to the needs of esports players.

MSI has not disclosed the pricing for the G253PF gaming monitor, and its exact release date remains unclear.
