Minisforum launches HX100G mini PC
Minisforum has announced the launch of the HX100G Mini PC, a successor to last year’s HX99G Mini PC. This new iteration features an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS processor, coupled with an AMD Radeon RX 6650M dedicated graphics card, marking a significant enhancement in performance compared to its predecessor’s combination of the Ryzen 9 6900HX and AMD Radeon 6600M.
The Ryzen 7 7840H processor, based on the Zen 4 architecture, boasts 8 cores and 16 threads. It is fabricated using a 4nm process, with a peak single-core frequency of up to 5.1 GHz. The processor is integrated with a Radeon 780M iGPU, built on the RDNA 3 architecture. The Radeon RX 6650M features the Navi 23 chip based on the RDNA 2 architecture, comprising 28 Compute Units or 1792 stream processors. Its base, game, and boost frequencies are 2067, 2199, and 2248 MHz, respectively, with an Infinity Cache of 32MB. It is equipped with 8GB of GDDR6 memory, a 128-bit interface, and a 16 Gbps rate, yielding a bandwidth of 256 GB/s.
The HX100G Mini PC comes equipped with two DDR5 memory slots (SO-DIMM), supporting up to 64GB of DDR5-5600 memory; one M.2 2280 slot supporting a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface (up to 2TB SSD), and an additional M.2 2280 slot (supporting NGFF SATA or PCIe 4.0 x4) for storage expansion. It also features an M.2 2230 slot for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, a 2.5Gbps network card, and supports four 4K@60Hz display outputs. The interfaces include two HDMI ports (4K@60Hz), two USB4 ports (8K@60Hz), a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port, a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, along with headphone and microphone jacks.
The base model of the HX100G Mini PC is a barebones system, allowing users to install their memory and SSD, priced at $719. Minisforum also offers configurations with pre-installed memory and SSD, specifically a 32GB RAM + 1TB SSD model priced at $905 and a 64GB RAM + 1TB SSD model priced at $995.
