Microsoft will fix Windows 11 File Explorer high memory usage bug soon

In the development version, users have found that the Windows 11 Explorer process sometimes soars processor and memory usage, which may affect system performance.

After this problem was reported during testing on the development channel, Microsoft has fixed it in subsequent versions. Unfortunately, neither the Beta channel nor the official version has fixed this bug. That is to say, when this problem is known, Microsoft has not fixed it and directly pushed the official version.

Windows 11 Dev Build 22000.51

Many users have given feedback on this issue in the Microsoft forum. The system may sometimes be very lagging due to the high hardware resource usage.

If the user happens to be playing the game and encounters this kind of lag, the game will basically be scrapped, but Microsoft has not announced this problem in the Windows 11 known bugs list.

In a post on Feedback Hub from late last month, Microsoft noted that they’ve “included changes with Build 22454 to mitigate a couple of issues that were causing leaks when using File Explorer”.
