Microsoft will continue to make Surface Duo 2

Microsoft launched their first Android smartphone Surface Duo in the second half of 2019. Although it has a unique folding dual-screen design, the internal hardware configuration lags behind the market generation. In addition, the dual-screen feature has not been used well under the Android system. The sales of this freak device of Microsoft have been bleak. Although it is not applauded or popular, Microsoft is not prepared to give up this “failed” product. Recently, it has been revealed that they are still developing the second-generation Surface Duo.

Some videos that are said to be photos of Surface Duo development prototypes appeared on YouTube, Windows Central said that these are all legal and real photos. This Surface Duo 2 looks more like a small facelift of the first generation, keep basically the same ultra-thin folded body, but its external camera is now a three-camera system, and the lens is very prominent.

As for other hardware information, it’s not known, but the first-generation Surface Duo was equipped with a previous-generation SoC when it was launched, severely criticized by everyone, this painful lesson should not be repeated by Microsoft. If it is launched this year, at least Snapdragon 888 will be required. What’s more interesting is that the USB-C port at the bottom of the second-generation fuselage is now placed in the center.
