Microsoft releases Windows 10 build 18362 to the Slow ring as an RTM candidate
Earlier this week, Microsoft had pushed Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18362 to the Fast Ring. The important change in this version was that watermark in Windows 10 in the lower right corner had been removed. Normally removing the watermark means that the version has stabilized, and today Microsoft has pushed this version to the slow test channel.
This is also the first version of the Windows 10 Version 1903 branch version for the first fast and slow channels, which means that this version will be used as an RTM candidate. 19H1 is the internal development code of Microsoft, Windows version 1903 is the name according to the release date, and Build 18362.1 is the detailed version number.
Last year’s Windows 10 Version 1809 happened to have a major problem by skipping the release of the preview channel, leaving Microsoft mad by users for a few months. So this time Microsoft will be more cautious in releasing preview channel tests to solve the problem as much as possible to prevent problems such as file loss.
As for Windows 10 Build 18362.1 itself, it only fixes individual issues, and Microsoft also released independent cumulative updates to continue to improve the minor version. It seems that the RTM version should have been finalized if there are no particularly serious problems.
