Microsoft releases virtual machine for users to continue using Microsoft Edge browser classic
Microsoft has now launched the official version of Microsoft Edge based on Chromium and pushed it to users to replace the classic version of the browser pre-installed on the system. However, some individual users or enterprises need to use the classic version of the browser.
Of course, Microsoft still hopes that these users, especially enterprise users, will migrate to the new browser, so Microsoft provides users with virtual machine images to continue using IE11 and Microsoft Edge Legacy.
Microsoft said that when users migrate to the new version of the Microsoft Edge browser if they still want to use the classic version, they can test it with this virtual machine. This virtual machine contains IE11 and Microsoft Edge Legacy, which is better compatible with the old website.
The virtual machine provided by Microsoft is based on Windows 10 Version 1809. Microsoft has adjusted the built-in policy so that it will not receive the push of Chromium Microsoft Edge. VM platform supports VMware Workstation, VirtualBox, Hyper-V, Parallels, VAGRANT, users can download as needed.
The virtual machine has created the IEUser user with a password of Passw0rd!. After entering the system, the user can create different accounts as needed.
It should be noted that the image is only valid for 90 days after activation, so the image will expire after 90 days and will not be available unless the user reinstalls it.
