Microsoft reaches sponsorship deal with Alpine F1 team

Microsoft announced a sponsorship agreement with the Alpine F1 Team, designating Xbox as the official gaming console partner. While Microsoft has been a sponsor of the team for some time, the forthcoming Grand Prix in Japan will showcase the logos of Xbox and Game Pass prominently on the Alpine F1 cars and team facilities.

David Gendry, Head of Marketing for the Alpine F1 Team, remarked, “We are elated to collaborate with Xbox, a renowned leader in the gaming realm. Over recent years, our joint ventures have successfully garnered attention from fans globally. We now proudly solidify this rapport into a long-term partnership, anchored on our shared values with Microsoft and Xbox.”

Jerret West, Chief Vice President of Xbox Gaming Marketing, proclaimed, “Our declaration today with the Alpine F1 Team underscores our commitment to captivating fans worldwide through their passion for the sport. Motorsport is among the world’s most thrilling spectacles, boasting a diverse fanbase united in their fervor for competitive racing. With aligned values in diversity, fairness, and inclusivity, Xbox and the Alpine F1 Team eagerly anticipate delighting an expanded global audience by merging the joys of gaming and racing.”

Speculation arises whether the forthcoming “F1 2023” by EA will feature updated liveries for the Alpine F1 cars.
