Microsoft raises the developer’s revenue share from the current 70% to 95%
To promote the co-development of the Microsoft Store, Microsoft announced an increase in developer revenue share from the current 70% to 95%. However, the most popular category – the game is not in the process of adjustment, and the application revenue generated through the alliance and promotional links is charged at 85%/15%. Developers can read more about the new fees here.
This adjustment is to encourage small and medium-sized developers to upload applications to the Microsoft Store. If Microsoft can convince desktop users to get applications from Microsoft Store, then 700 million desktop users are a very worthwhile market for developers. The full fee terms for the Microsoft Store can be found here.
