Microsoft quietly provides Desktop Stickers feature to Windows 11 Build 22621

Previously, we mentioned that Microsoft may be developing a desktop sticker feature for Windows 11, which allows users to place vector sticker pictures on the desktop. But you can’t customize it, you can only choose those built-in by Microsoft in the system, and this is not the main function, it is a small benefit for enthusiasts.

Now, this feature is available in Windows 11 Build 22621. The users are possible to enable the new ‘Stickers’ features. After the function is turned on through the registry, you can add stickers in the personalized settings. The stickers will be displayed on the desktop, and you can zoom in, zoom out, drag, and so on.

How to active

  1. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\current\device\
  2. Create a new item and name it: Stickers
  3. Create a new DWORD32 value in Stickers and name it: EnableStickers
  4. Double-click the item to change its key value to
    1. 1: Enable
    2. 0: Disable
After the registry is modified, restart the Windows 11 system, go to settings, personalization, background, and here you can see the function of selecting stickers for wallpapers. You can add multiple wallpapers on the desktop and customize their size and position. Right-click on the blank space of the desktop to see the related options of desktop stickers.
