Microsoft publishes Desktop Analytics tool for businesses

After several months of testing, Microsoft has officially launched a Desktop Analytics tool, which is batch management and operation and maintenance tool developed by Microsoft for enterprise users. For example, an administrator can directly view installed programs and drivers for all devices, perform remote updates for programs or drivers, and so on in the desktop analysis.

A compatibility assessment of the new version is also provided for the Windows 10 Desktop Analysis Tool, such as evaluating compatibility with installed programs and drivers. The Desktop Analytics tool is primarily available to Microsoft 365 subscribers and is available to subscribe to businesses on the Microsoft 365 portal.

The main features of Desktop Analytics tool:

  • Get a comprehensive view into the endpoints, applications, and drivers under management in your ecosystem.
  • Assess application and driver compatibility with the latest Windows feature updates and receive mitigation recommendations for known issues, as well as advanced insights for line of business apps.
  • Optimize the set of pilot devices that adequately represents your overall estate using the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Microsoft cloud.

Desktop analytics tools have been integrated with tools such as System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and Microsoft will integrate desktop analytics into Microsoft Intune tools in the future. At this stage, the administrator of the Microsoft 365 subscriber can open the desktop analysis portal to start planning and deploying analysis tools.
