Microsoft OneDrive will have Fluent Design

In addition to the redesigned icon set for Microsoft Office 365 and other applications, the tech giant also offers Fluent Design design for OneDrive web applications. The company is improving the palette to match the design of other applications, providing users with a familiar experience with a variety of online services.

Of course, design consistency is not a problem that the OneDrive team has been working on. They also added the recommended file feature, which, as the user may have guessed, recommends the file that it thinks the user is most likely to open, based on user habits. The company also added a Recent files feature to help users access files more easily than recommended files.

Microsoft is also adding features to give users more information about their files before they open them. One of them includes a new file card that allows users to access quick information about the document, including the time required for reading, as well as key information. In addition, users can view recent document activity, which will be in the rightmost column when viewing files in the list view.

Finally, in addition to applications for Windows and Mac users, Microsoft is enabling users to access file metadata from the OneDrive shared library on the web. The company said that these changes will gradually work for users in the coming weeks, and said further testing is needed before it is fully rolled out.
