Microsoft officially launches Windows 11 PC health check tool
The PC health check tool is a compatibility check tool previously launched by Microsoft to help users detect whether the current device meets the minimum hardware requirements of Windows 11.
However, in the early stage due to various problems in the development process, this tool was marked as a beta version and sometimes available for download on the Microsoft website and sometimes removed.
Until now, Microsoft finally announced the completion of the development of this tool, and now the official version of the Windows 11 PC health check tool is available for all users to download and check hardware compatibility.
If the user is not ready to upgrade to Windows 11, there is no need to use this tool. If you are ready to upgrade, you can use this tool to detect in advance in order to prepare.
The health check tool will detect hardware including processor model, computer usage time, TPM 2.0 trusted platform module, remaining disk space, memory size, etc.
Since Windows 11 has higher hardware requirements than Windows 10, Microsoft provides this tool to help users check which hardware does not meet the requirements.
For example, if the disk space is not enough, Microsoft will guide users to clean up, and if the Trusted Platform Module is not enabled, Microsoft will guide users to enable related functions.
Unfortunately, due to Microsoft’s adjustment of Windows 11 hardware requirements, if the device does not come with a TPM 2.0 Trusted Platform Module, it cannot be upgraded normally.
If you use other methods to bypass Microsoft’s restrictions and forcibly upgrade Windows 11, the subsequent system cannot be directly updated, and each upgrade requires manual operation by the user.
