Microsoft Office mobile apps to stop support Android KitKat & Lollipop
According to Microsoft’s latest support announcement, the company has decided to gradually upgrade some products to the Android version starting next month. Most of Microsoft’s current Android apps are still supporting Android KitKat and Android Lollipop. However, because the old version cannot support certain features and functions, Microsoft can only give up. The Office applications will stop supporting the old version of Android.

The Microsoft version of Microsoft Office provides a variety of updates for Android 6.0 Marshmallow or newer and subsequent versions since July. If the user’s Android smartphone or tablet is running Android KitKat or Android Lollipop, subsequent security updates or feature updates from Microsoft will no longer be available. Of course, even if Microsoft stops supporting users, you can still use the old version that cannot be updated, but if Microsoft re-develops new features, users can’t use it.
For users who use the old version of Android, it is not easy to upgrade. It is estimated that most users should upgrade to the latest version if they can upgrade. The update of Android relies on manufacturers to make and release adaptation versions. Some devices may have released Android 6.0 or later. If there is a new version, download the new firmware package and upgrade directly.
