Microsoft launches Windows 10 Pro for Workstations for heavy users and high-performance devices

The slide show in June this year shows that Microsoft plans to introduce a new SKU called “Windows 10 Pro for Workstations PCs”, but the name of the version was not finalized. Today, Microsoft officially announced the new version of the system called “Windows 10 Pro for Workstations”.

 

“Windows 10 Pro for Workstations is an advanced version of Windows 10 Professional and is specifically designed for server- class PC hardware, designed to meet mission-critical and compute-intensive workloads,” said Klaus Diaconu of Microsoft.

Diaconu said the SKU was created based on feedback and comments from Windows Insider users and will be released with the Windows 10 Fall Creator Update. In the blog post he introduced the SKU’s four core strengths, namely ReFS (Resilient file system), Persistent memory, faster file sharing and extended hardware support, in addition to the architecture of the workstation-level processor (including Intel Xeon And AMD’s Opteron) are particularly optimized for Windows users to maximize the performance of high-performance devices.
