Microsoft is testing Windows 11 Update Stack Packages to optimize the system
In the Windows 10 era, Microsoft has begun testing to change the system through a functional experience package, which is mainly to adjust the Windows Shell.
In Windows 11, there is also the Windows Feature Experience Pack (Windows Feature Experience Pack), but Microsoft seems to have introduced a new update method.
The new update method is called Update Stack Package, which is also used to provide new features as described in the Microsoft blog.
Therefore, it is not clear how this is different from the functional experience package. Whether the subsequent update of the stack package will replace the functional experience package still needs to wait for Microsoft to release instructions.
Starting from the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22478 version, Microsoft began to test Update Stack Packages that deliver update improvements outside of major OS updates such as new builds.
This new process is used to provide users with new updates and improvements in addition to the major updates of the operating system. Of course, this mainly refers to improvements in new features.
By updating the stack package, Microsoft can provide the system with a new experience or other new features through the monthly update stack package before the main update.
Updating the stack package helps ensure that your computer can install new updates smoothly, provide the best user experience, and reduce other problems caused by system updates.
