Microsoft is still very confident in buying Activision Blizzard

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is “very confident” in the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, believing the acquisition can successfully pass regional scrutiny.

Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard has recently received increasing scrutiny. The UK Competition and Markets Authority said earlier that it would conduct a more in-depth “phase two” investigation into the acquisition, and it has determined that the acquisition will result in substantially less competition for game consoles, multi-game subscription services, and cloud gaming services.

Recently, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella once again talked about this huge acquisition in an interview with Bloomberg, saying that it is very normal to have such a review. He said: “Of course, any acquisition of this size will go through scrutiny, but we feel very, very confident that we’ll come out.”

The acquisition could be completed as soon as next summer if the acquisition passes the scrutiny of all parties.
