Microsoft is rolling out Cumulative Update Build 22499.1010 (KB5008400)
According to Microsoft’s official blog, the Windows 11 Dev Build 22499 version launched this week received the KB5008400 service channel update for maintenance purposes.
After installing the service channel update, the system version is upgraded to Windows 11 Dev Build 22499.1010, and the service channel update has no actual function changes.
This update will be automatically pushed to the development version users and installed automatically, and there is no need to restart after installation, so there are no new features, except for the version number change.
Service channel update is a type of update that Microsoft often pushes. This update neither adds new features to the system nor contains other features or bug fixes.
The so-called service channel update is only used to maintain the service channel to ensure that the beta version in the current channel can successfully obtain subsequent version updates. Therefore, it does not matter to users whether this kind of update is installed or not.
Of course, if you are already using the Insider Preview version, this update will be automatically downloaded and installed, and this type of update is small in size and does not require a restart.
