In today’s release of Windows 10 Build 16232 version, Microsoft introduced a controllable folder access (Controlled folder access) function. This feature is currently being invited to Windows Insider project members to test when some applications in the case of unauthorized changes to these folders when the user will receive the relevant notice.
The new Controlled folder access is now integrated into the Windows Defender Security Center, and the full version is expected to appear in the Windows 10 Fall Creator Update. Multiple Windows system folders are protected by default. In addition, users can add folders of other paths according to their needs, and include files, files, videos and so on.
