Microsoft has suspended the push of Windows 10 v2004 to LTE modems
If nothing happens, Microsoft will sign the Windows 10 v2009/20H2 RTM version this month, but there are still many problems in the previous version that need to be resolved.
Although Microsoft has officially launched the Windows 10 v2004/20H1 RTM version for half a year, the version has not been pushed to all users.
The main reason is that there are many problems with this version, and Microsoft is afraid to push it directly on a large scale. For example, there are problems that affect millions of users during the push process.
Microsoft has officially confirmed that Windows 10 v2004 is not compatible with some LTE devices. After users install it, LTE may not be able to connect to the network.
The main manifestation is that after the user is upgraded, the LTE indicator prompts that the surrounding cellular network cannot be searched, which causes the user to be unable to connect to the network normally.
Given that there are millions of such LTE devices around the world, so many users are affected, so Microsoft has stopped pushing the latest version after confirming the failure.
The company said that it will release a routine cumulative update this month to fix this problem, and will re-push the Windows 10 v2009 update to users after the repair is complete.
For users who have upgraded and found that they cannot connect to the Internet normally, Microsoft has provided a temporary solution, that is, to switch the flight mode to change the state of the cellular network.
Specifically, go to the set network connection, and then click the airplane mode on the left, first enable the airplane mode that is turned off by default, and then turn off the airplane mode.
You can switch the network status of the LTE network card by turning it enable. In theory, after doing this, LTE can search for and connect to the surrounding cellular networks.
