Microsoft Edge Canary to bring encrypted DNS server settings

Earlier, Google Chrome was already testing the DNS over HTTPS encryption function, which was designed to encrypt DNS requests to prevent operators from snooping on user privacy.

Microsoft is also working hard to improve support for encrypted DNS requests. Before this, Microsoft has already brought DoH functionality in the Windows 10 Dev version.

Now Microsoft is also bringing DoH support to the Microsoft Edge based on Chromium browser, of course, it is currently limited to the Canary version.

If you are using the canary version of Microsoft Edge, you can check for updates to the latest version and then go to the privacy, search and service settings section of the settings.

Here you can see the option of using secure DNS to specify how to find the network address of the website, turn it on, and then click the option to select a service provider. Microsoft has provided the DoH version of public DNS servers such as Google, Cloudflare.

After closing the settings page, your Microsoft Edge browser will have the DoH encryption function enabled, and all subsequent requests will pass encrypted DNS queries.
