Microsoft confirmed that Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18999 has a shutdown/restart problem
Recently, Microsoft released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18999 (20H1), but some Fast Ring channel users reported that they will be stuck in the shutdown and restart interface after the upgrade.
According to user feedback from the Reddit community, after upgrading Windows 10 Build 18999.1, when the user clicks the click shutdown dialog to enter the shutdown interface, the computer is still running in the background. In the post, some users indicated that this problem also exists with the shutdown command line mode. The post also said that the same problem exists when executing the shutdown /s and shutdown /s /f commands.
At present, Microsoft has acknowledged the existence of this problem in the supporting documentation and listed it in the “Known Issues” and said that relevant investigations have been carried out.
