Microsoft adds “search box” on lock screen layout in Windows 10 Preview Build 18970
Microsoft has discussed in the Windows 10 test community that a search box supported by Bing’s search engine is added on the lock screen. This feature was first noticed in 20H1 Build 18932. Now, it seems that Microsoft is seriously considering launching this feature in the Windows 10 20H1 update. Microsoft adds “search-box” on lock screen layout in Windows 10 Preview Build 18970.
Microsoft is experimenting with a different lockscreen layout. This is a screenshot from build 18970. I am not dragging or sliding the contents in any way, this is simply how it looks. pic.twitter.com/5FWsb38Ezi

As you can see in the image above, the date and time are now moved to the upper left corner, giving the search box space to appear in the lower-left corner, and the search UI in the lock screen is similar to the search box in the taskbar. Note that this feature is temporarily not available for Insiders.
