Micron announced to sell 3D XPoint flash memory chip factory to Texas Instruments
Micron announced that it has reached an agreement with Texas Instruments to sell its 3D XPoint flash memory chip factory in Lehi, Utah. The transaction is expected to be completed later this year. The value of the transaction is approximately $1.5 billion, including $900 million in cash, and other equipment and assets worth $600 million. Some of the equipment and assets obtained by Micron have been sold, and the remaining part will be redeployed to other production bases or sold to other buyers.
