LibreOffice 6.3 no longer supports 32-bit Linux distributions
The Document Foundation (TDF) released the LibreOffice 6.3 Beta1 version for Linux, macOS, and Windows. The official version of 6.3 will be released in mid-August. It will bring a series of new Features, while performance is greatly improved. For this version, there is one thing to watch out for: the official announcement that LibreOffice 6.3 no longer supports 32-bit Linux distributions.
More and more Linux distributions are giving up support for 32-bit versions, such as the previous Xubuntu 19.04. This message actually appeared in the 6.2 release announcement. According to TDF, after 6.2, TDF will not generate Linux x86 version binaries, but this does not mean that Linux x86 compatibility will be removed.
This means that LibreOffice 6.3 will not have 32-bit binaries available for download, but users can continue to use LibreOffice on 32-bit Linux, and the previously installed version of LibreOffice will also receive updates.
