LG Unveils New UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor

LG announced at IFA 2022 in Berlin, Germany, the launch of the new UltraGear OLED gaming monitor, model number 45GR95QE, and the groundbreaking UltraFine Display Ergo AI (32UQ890) monitor.

45GR95QE is LG’s first 45-inch curved OLED gaming monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio and WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution, 800R curvature, 240Hz refresh rate, and 0.1ms response time (GtG). The DCI-P3 color gamut is 98.5% and supports HDR10. On the surface, LG’s 45GR95QE appears to use the same W-OLED panel as the XENEON FLEX 45WQHD240 OLED gaming monitor released earlier by CORSAIR, except that players cannot manually adjust the curvature of the monitor themselves.

Equipped with HDMI 2.1 interface and DisplayPort 1.4 interface, the 45GR95QE supports technologies including Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and provides functions such as PBP and PIP suitable for multitasking. LG says the 45GR95QE’s panel features an anti-glare and low-reflection coating that enhances players’ visual experience in games while reducing annoying visual distractions and reducing eye strain.

LG’s new UltraFine Display Ergo AI (32UQ890) monitor uses a 31.5-inch IPS panel, 4K resolution (3840 x 2160), a refresh rate of 60Hz, and a DCI-P3 color gamut of 95%. It has built-in two 5W MaxxAudio speakers, equipped with HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB 3.0 interfaces. The biggest highlight of this monitor is the new “Ergo AI” stand, which automatically adjusts its position to ensure ergonomic comfort throughout the day.

The UltraFine Display Ergo AI (32UQ890) monitor features three ergonomic enhancement modes, AI Motion, Continuous Motion, and Periodic Motion. Through the built-in camera, using advanced artificial intelligence technology, it can continuously analyze the user’s posture, track the user’s eye level, and when changes are detected, make fine adjustments to the screen height (0~160mm) and tilt (-20º ~ +20º).
LG has not yet announced the price of these two products and the time to market.
