LG showcases a conceptual transparent OLED product
LG, the leader of large-size consumer-grade OLED screens, has launched novel and fun conceptual OLED products, this time they are OLED Shelf, Shopping Managing Showcase, Show Window, and Smart Window. It is worth noting that these products are not ordinary screens, but transparent OLED screens.
OLED Shelf is a pregnant product, but it is different from the general shelf in that it is connected with two LG transparent OLED screens. The top one is 55 inches with 40% transparency and can be used as an ordinary TV. The screen below can be used to view some information or updates such as weather reports, news, etc. This OLED Shelf is ready for commercial production, but LG said it needs to find a partner to build and sell this system.
If the OLED Shelf is for home use, then this Show Window will be commercial. This product is a combination of 4 55-inch LG transparent OLED screens, which can be used for window displays in stores. Merchants can display more information about this product on the Show Window while displaying the actual product, and even create cool visual effects to attract consumers to stop.
The Shopping Managing Showcase is actually a smaller version of the Show Window above in the author’s eyes, because it is also used to display goods, and it can also display more information about the goods on the screen or add additional visual effects.
There is still a lot of time before the official opening of CES 2022, so we can also expect LG to launch more interesting new products.
