Lenovo Legion 5 gaming laptop will be equipped with AMD Radeon RX 6600M graphics

AMD released the Radeon RX 6600M at the Taipei Computer Show last month. As AMD’s new generation mobile platform graphics card, it inherits the efficient RDNA 2 architecture of the desktop platform Radeon RX 6000 series. The performance will be greatly improved compared to the previous generation products. This graphics card then appeared in HP’s Omen 16 notebook computer and formed a 3A platform with Ryzen 5000 series mobile processors.

According to VideoCardz reports, a leak from the UserBenchmark website shows the codenamed Lenovo 82NW. Although it is not clear which model it is, according to the information above, it matches the information of Lenovo Legion 5. At present, Lenovo’s already released IdeaPad and Rescuer series notebooks, if equipped with AMD Ryzen 5000H series mobile processors, are equipped with NVIDIA discrete graphics cards. Lenovo Legion 5 should be its first model with AMD Ryzen 5000H series mobile processors and AMD discrete graphics.

As can be seen from the configuration diagram, this 3A platform product is equipped with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and Radeon RX 6600M graphics card, up to 32GB of DDR4-3200 memory and 1TB SSD, up to 2K resolution 15.6-inch screen, refresh rate 165Hz, obtained AMD FreeSync Premium certification, equipped with RGB backlit keyboard, also provides a USB Type-C full-featured interface and an HDMI 2.1 interface, the battery life is up to 10.4 hours.

According to AMD’s official statement, Radeon RX 6600M is a mid-range graphics card designed to run games at 1080P resolution. It adopts Navi 23 GPU, has 28 sets of CU, unlimited cache capacity is 32MB, and is equipped with 128bit/8GB GDDR6 video memory. According to the design of Lenovo Legion 5, there may be Radeon RX 6700M graphics cards to choose from in the future.
