KB4554364 for Windows 10 prevents users from connecting to WiFi
Recently, Microsoft rolled out KB4554364 cumulative update to Windows 10 v1903 and 1909. This update is used to fix VPN and other network connection errors. Therefore, many users immediately downloaded and installed this update after Microsoft released this update.
This update only fixes the network connection problem and there is no other update content. However, it is clear that Microsoft will bring new problems for each update, and there will be no exceptions. For example, this update has caused some users to have abnormal wireless networks.
After installing this update, many users have reported that the wireless network cannot be connected. When users try to connect, the system directly returns an error code.
Socket error 0×2200021
c:/windows/sywow64/appidpolicyengineApi.dll, instruction cannot be read
The problem has not been confirmed by Microsoft, so we cannot know the cause of the problem, and at the same time, there is no temporary solution to quickly solve the problem.
It has been tested by the user that if this update is uninstalled, the normal connection of the wireless network can be restored, but this means that an exception will also occur when using a proxy program such as a VPN.
