KB4515530: Servicing Stack Update for Windows 10 Version 1903
Microsoft is recommending Windows 10 Version 1903 users to install new Servicing Stack Update (SSU) KB4515530 to resolve errors in Features on Demand (FoD). SSU is an important component responsible for the monthly system installation process. The Windows Update process itself requires SSU to work properly.
According to the support documentation, this Windows 10 SSU update resolves the issue of if the (FOD) feature has language features installed, causing the feature to be unavailable.
This update makes quality improvements to the servicing stack, which is the component that installs Windows updates. Key changes include:
- Addresses an uninstall issue with automated maintenance. If the Features on Demand (FOD) feature has a language satellite installed, the feature is left in an unusable state. Additionally, the released language pack content is not removed even if it is superseded.
