iPhone 14 series has entered the engineering validation stage

Apple will launch a new generation of the iPhone 14 series in the second half of this year. It is rumored that there will be four models of iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the mini model will be replaced by the iPhone 14 Max with a 6.7-inch screen.

9to5Mac said that the current iPhone 14 series has entered the engineering validation stage. Earlier this year, it was reported that Apple has completed the design phase of the A16 Bionic and that TSMC will begin mass production at Fab 18 in the second half of this year, using a 4nm process. Judging from the news from all parties, it is believed that the iPhone 14 series should arrive as scheduled and will not be affected by factors such as the supply chain or mass production of TSMC’s new process.

The well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be upgraded to 48MP sensors,

a larger sensor can achieve better image quality in different light conditions and support 8K video recording. Since the new sensor will increase the diagonal length by 25% to 35% and the height by 5% to 10%, therefore, it will take up more space, and the rear camera module area will become thicker and more prominent.

It was previously reported that the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max will all be equipped with 6GB of memory. The difference is that the iPhone 14 series uses LPDDR4X memory and A15X Bionic, and the iPhone 14 Pro series uses LPDDR5 memory and A16 Bionic. In order to accommodate the needs for 8K video recording, it is rumored that the iPhone 14 series will have a model with 2TB storage space, which may be accompanied by a higher price.
