iOS 16 will allow users to transfer eSIM data between different iPhones via Bluetooth

In the iOS 16 updates, Apple will allow users to transfer eSIM data on an iPhone to another iPhone via Bluetooth transmission.

From the “Set up eSIM” item in the “Settings” option, you can find that transfer an eSIM and its associated phone number from another iPhone via Bluetooth. After clicking “Set up eSIM”, you can see the option of “Transfer from another iPhone” and the original “Use QR code” option. Selecting the ” Transfer from another iPhone” option that has an eSIM profile set up, and will ask to enter the on-screen matching number as confirmation.

During the transfer process, the two iPhones must be placed in close proximity, the Bluetooth function must be turned on, the screen must remain unlocked, and the operating system must be upgraded to iOS 16 or later. However, this function still requires the cooperation of telecom operators. It is available in multiple countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
