Intel Welcomes Justin Hotard as New EVP and GM of AI & Data Centers

Intel has announced the appointment of Justin Hotard as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Data Center and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Business Unit, effective February 1, 2024. Hotard will join Intel’s executive leadership team and report directly to CEO Pat Gelsinger.

In his new role, Hotard will oversee Intel’s data center product lines across enterprises and clouds, including the Xeon processor series, graphics processing units (GPUs), and accelerators. With Intel actively committed to advancing and democratizing AI, Hotard’s appointment is poised to significantly contribute to these efforts. He brings over two decades of extensive experience in driving transformation and growth in computing and data center operations and is adept at delivering scalable AI systems to enterprises.

Before joining Intel, Hotard served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of High-Performance Computing, AI, and Labs at HPE, where he was responsible for addressing clients’ most demanding problems through data-intensive workloads and led HPE’s central research department, Hewlett Packard Labs. Earlier, Hotard was President of NCR Small Business and held roles in corporate development and operations at Syniverse Technologies and Motorola.

Justin Hotard holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
