Intel 14th Gen Core i3-14100 QS Sample Surfaces on Chinese Marketplace

In October, Intel launched the K-series products of its 14th generation Core processors, which include six models with the K/KF suffix: Core i9-14900K/KF, Core i7-14700K/KF, and Core i5-14600K/KF. These are all unlocked versions, compatible with the existing 600/700 series motherboards. Barring any surprises, it is anticipated that the remainder of the non-K series of the 14th-generation Core processors will be unveiled at CES 2024.

Recently, a seller on the Chinese second-hand trading platform Goofish listed an Intel 14th generation Core i3-14100 CPU. The product’s S-SPEC code and SKU information were visible in the listing. The seller described the CPU as a QS (Qualification Sample) version with performance parameters identical to the official release. The listing was priced at 850 yuan (about $120).

According to available information, the Core i3-14100 utilizes Intel’s 7nm process technology and features an H0 stepping with a pure-performance core design. It is equipped with 4 cores and 8 threads, a base frequency of 3.5GHz, an unspecified boost frequency, and a 12MB L3 cache. The integrated graphics remain the UHD 730. It has a TDP of 60W and supports DDR4-3200 and DDR5-4800 memory, compatible with the existing 600/700 series motherboards. The primary difference between the Core i3-14100 and the i3-13100 seems to be the base frequency (the i3-13100 has a base of 3.4GHz and a boost of 4.5GHz).
