Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition will debut on PlayStation 5 on October 6, 2023

Sony PlayStation has formally unveiled “Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition,” set to debut on PlayStation 5 on October 6, 2023. The PC iteration, available on both Steam and Epic Games Store, is slated for a 2024 release. The game is priced at $59.99/€69.99 and offers support in English, German, Portuguese, and Japanese.

Beyond the core game, “Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition” encompasses the DLC “Burning Shores,” a digital soundtrack, an art book, an accompanying comic, and various in-game assets. Nixxes Software is diligently overseeing the PC port’s development, which is progressing seamlessly. Sony anticipates disseminating more details, including system requirements, in due course.

“Horizon Forbidden West,” an illustrious third-person action role-playing saga crafted by Guerrilla Games, serves as the sequel to “Horizon Zero Dawn.” It was launched on February 18, 2022, while its DLC “Burning Shores” saw its release on April 19, 2023.

Earlier this year, Amsterdam-based Guerrilla Games, via the Sony PlayStation official blog, published a commemorative piece marking their 20th anniversary. The narrative chronicles their evolution from a modest third-party workshop for the Nintendo Game Boy to a premier developer of triple-A gaming titles. Concurrently, they announced that as of April 16, 2023, “Horizon Forbidden West” has achieved a staggering sales figure of 8.4 million copies on PlayStation 4/5 consoles. Cumulatively, the entire “Horizon” franchise boasts a monumental sales total of 32.7 million units.
