Although CES 2022 has not been officially held yet, various awards have already begun. The fastest one is the Innovation Award. Because the winners are basically newly launched or ready to go on the market products, the announcement of the Innovation award can also allow us to take the lead in witnessing some new products.
Now in the TV category, two new products have won this award this year, namely Hisense 85U9H 8K TV and TCL X9 8K OD Zero Mini-LED TV (X925 PRO). The two TVs have one thing in common, that is, they both have the highest 8K resolution on the consumer market.
X925 PRO is currently TCL’s most high-end model in 8K resolution Mini LED TVs, using TCL’s latest 3rd generation OD Zero technology. OD Zero is a technology developed by TCL designed to improve panel brightness, contrast, and uniformity. In addition to having an 8K resolution, X925 PRO also supports a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, X925 PRO can achieve 4K@120Hz and 8K@60Hz.
As for Hisense’s 85U9H, it is also a high-end TV with 8K resolution and a Mini LED backlight. The highest refresh rate is also 120Hz, and users can freely switch between 4K@120Hz or 8K@60Hz to meet the game or a clearer viewing experience. In terms of backlighting, the 85U9H has up to 4000 backlight partitions, and with its 3000 nit brightness, if there is no problem with the color and backlight response time, it should give users a very good HDR experience.
At present, there are only two TVs that have won the CES 2022 Innovation Award. I believe that in the coming time and when CES 2022 is officially opened, there should be more TVs from other major brands that won the awards.
