Google will add more than 100 games to Stadia in 2021

The cloud game market has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years. For this reason, Google has specially launched the Stadia cloud game platform in an attempt to occupy the market’s first-mover advantage. It has also established a Stadia Games & Entertainment studio dedicated to creating first-party games for the Stadia platform.

However, at the beginning of this month, Google announced the news of the closure of this studio, the original director Jade Raymond also left Google, the studio members will be internally digested.

In order to avoid being considered by the market that this move is to withdraw from the cloud gaming market, Google specifically emphasized that the Stadia platform will not stop running and that it will cooperate with third-party gaming companies to provide consumers with cloud games.

Recently, the Stadia team further confirmed this in its blog, announced several third-party games that will be launched on the Stadia platform in the next period of time, and announced that more than 100 games will be launched on the Stadia platform in 2021.

This time, the list of games announced by Stadia are “Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition (Feb. 23), Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut (Feb. 23), It came from space and ate our brains (Mar. 2), FIFA 21 (Mar. 17), Kaze and the Wild Masks (Mar. 26), Judgment (Apr. 23), Killer Queen Black, Street Power Football, and Hellpoint.”

It seems that Google’s Stadia platform is in good condition, but it seems that they still need to strengthen communication and contact with third-party game companies/producers. A few days ago, the “Terraria” game developer announced on Twitter that because of their His Google account was inexplicably banned, and Google did not provide any assistance in the process of unblocking his account. Therefore, he will cancel the plan to port the game Terraria for the Stadia platform and will never contact Google again.
