Google camera disable beauty selfie by default

Google is currently pushing the native camera app to its Pixel series devices, and then Google will push cameras to more brands of Android devices.

This native version of the camera is pre-installed in the Android system by default, and the new version pushed by Google is used to disable the use of beauty technology by default.

Google has previously notified partners in advance that the native camera cannot use the beauty technology by default, but users have the right to turn on the beauty function by themselves.

The reason for this approach is that selfies can be seen everywhere in the development of social networks, but the development of various beauty technologies even presents some excessively distorted beauty filters.

Google is currently the first to promote native cameras on Pixel series devices and the beauty function is disabled by default. Users can still manually switch various filters for selfies.

Google will not prohibit Android users from using any beauty features. For example, users can download various beauty cameras through Google Play without any impact.

Google recommends that OEM brand manufacturers also disable beauty by default in native cameras or cameras developed by the manufacturers themselves, but again this is only a non-mandatory recommendation.

At present, most manufacturers enable the beauty function by default in order to please users. I don’t know whether this trend will change due to Google’s suggestions in the future.
