Google adds security features to Gmail

In order to enhance security, Gmail is currently adding a verification function, which is designed to add the sender logo for verified enterprises.

When the user sees the additional corporate logo displayed on Gmail, they can consider it to be a credible email, preventing users from being phishing attacks caused by sending fake emails.

The company said that Gmail has added multiple functions such as Google Meet, Video, Chat, etc., so it is important to ensure the identity of the sender.

The new security mechanism can ensure that companies will not leak secrets due to phishing by maliciously-identified users and help prevent malicious users.

However, this function is also limited to enterprise-level sender users and corporate receivers, that is, Gmail users who use Google G-Suite can use the email verification function.

Google did not disclose whether it is possible to develop this feature for ordinary users, but some features applicable to the enterprise suite will not be provided to ordinary users by Google.
