Firefox now supports enabling multiple picture-in-picture mode
Currently, Firefox is testing multiple picture-in-picture (PIP) video functions in the v84 version. At present, the main browsers already support picture-in-picture playback of videos, but Firefox has improved on this basis. Now you can turn multiple videos into picture-in-picture mode at the same time, and then hover on the desktop to watch at the same time.
Of course, some users may want to watch multiple videos at the same time. Isn’t it messy? That’s not the problem. Firefox provides this feature that allows you to hover multiple videos, but this does not mean that you have to play multiple videos at the same time. To put it simply, you can hover multiple videos, but you only play one of them, so it will be very convenient to switch, no need to switch by tab in the browser.
Of course, if you want, you can naturally play multiple videos at the same time. Each picture-in-picture window can be dragged and then play multiple videos side by side, allowing you to do other things while watching the video.
This feature needs to be manually enabled by the user. Open the Firefox browser and enter about:config in the address bar. Then search for media.videocontrols.picture-in-picture.allow-multiple, and toggle its value to “true”, save and restart the browser.
