In June, EVGA released a trailer titled “The New Darkness is Coming…”, with the orange feature of Ryzen processors surrounding the Dark series motherboard logo, indicating that AMD motherboards are likely to be launched, belonging to the Dark series. Subsequently, new partial photos were exposed, confirming that AMD’s latest X570S chipset will be used, and the new product is called X570S DARK.
Recently, Facebook user
Vince Lucido showed a complete picture of the EVGA X570S DARK motherboard. It can be seen that the CPU socket has rotated 270°, and the previous Z590 DARK motherboard also adopted this layout. In addition, it can be seen that EVGA is optimized for overclocking, it is possible to use a 10-layer PCB, and the VRM power supply scale is not small. There are large-area heat dissipation fins on the power supply VRM and the chipset, and there are heat pipes connected between them. The M.2 SSD area also has a large-area heat dissipation structure. Since the X570S chipset does not require active cooling, the X570S DARK motherboard can basically use the passive cooling solution of the Z590 DARK motherboard.
The EVGA X570S DARK motherboard has only two memory slots, 24Pin power port, and two 8Pin CPU power ports, and a 6Pin PCI-E auxiliary power supply interface has been angled, there are also easy-to-operate power buttons and reset buttons on the motherboard, equipped with two PCI-E x16 slots and one PCI-E x4 slot. In addition, there should be two M.2 slots, two network card interfaces, an integrated EVGA wireless module, a dual-band WiFi 6/BT5.2 external antenna, and the highest-end onboard audio solution with EVGA.
At present, EVGA did not disclose the specific price or time to market. EVGA has launched its flagship product for overclocking at the end of its life cycle on the AM4 platform. It may also be a preparation for the
AMD AM5 platform in advance.
