Entry-level Windows On ARM mini host is listed on the Microsoft Store, Only $219
Apple started to switch Mac computers to ARM architecture last year. In fact, Microsoft has been doing it for a long time ago. In recent years, Microsoft has also cooperated with Qualcomm on Windows On ARM devices, including their own high-end, thin, and light Surface Pro X. Until recently, a Windows On ARM mini host appeared on the Microsoft Store for only $219. This special mini console model is ECS LIVA Mini Box QC710.
ECS, the ARM-based mini host, is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Compute SC7180, which is a chip for entry-level computers. The CPU part uses eight Kryo 468 cores, with a combination of 4GB memory and 64GB storage. However, although Windows 11 is now available, the factory pre-installed on the machine is still only Windows 10 Home. Other parts also include PD-powered USB-C interface, as well as USB 3.2 Gen Type-A, HDMI and LAN ports, and so on.
Although the hardware configuration does not look good, considering its price is only $219, it is relatively friendly to programmers who really want to invest in ARM development.
