Dell will launch Alienware Second Screen app to allow gamers to view PC performance in real time from their phones

Dell Mobile Connect is an auxiliary tool developed by Dell for Dell users. With this tool, you can connect your phone to your computer to send text messages or make calls. At CES, Dell showed off a new concept software called Alienware Second Screen to help gamers monitor performance.

This application is actually developed based on the Dell mobile phone connection, which can show the real-time performance of Dell Alienware series devices after pairing the mobile phone.

Real-time performance parameters that can be displayed on smartphones include processor usage (CPU), graphics card usage (GPU), and memory (RAM) diagnostic data.

In addition, the real-time temperature of the processor and graphics card can be displayed for supported devices, allowing gamers to track the performance of the computer in real-time without leaving the game.

Dell believes that users who purchase the Alienware series are gamers and therefore pay more attention to hardware configuration. High-performance hardware can naturally bring better performance to games.

However, some players will pay more attention to whether the hardware performance is successfully played during the game. Of course, there are many assistant apps to monitor hardware performance.

For some users, if the game is abnormal or stuck, it may be considered a hardware problem, so leave the game to check the hardware load data.

Dell said that if you need to check performance but let users close the game, it may be very inconvenient, and it will also adversely affect the experience of Dell Alienware users.

Therefore, the company decided to develop this application based on the mobile phone connection application, so that users can display computer performance in real-time on the smartphone without closing the game.

However, Dell also said that this concept application is still an exploratory test. Dell is currently collecting feedback from players to determine how to improve this application.
